Not only are we getting ready for Halloween, but there are several birthdays to celebrate in the next several weeks. To top it off, I decided to take part in a kid's consignment sale that is coming up. If you are not familiar with Lauren's Friends & Alex, it is the best week-long event that I know of. There is the Spring event and the Fall event. For me, this is an opportunity to purchase my children's entire wardrobe for the coming season. Obviously at this point, I don't really need much for my youngest because we have a ton of clothes that my oldest has outgrown. However, I would like to find some nicer shirts (think collars and button-downs) for certain activities.
Needless to say, due to the excitement of getting items ready for this Consignment Sale, I have missed out on some festivals and other events in the area. One day I will be organized enough to have everything done and not miss all the fun. For example, the same weekend of the Greek Festival, there was the Apple Festival in Boones Mill. I've heard the Apple Butter there is absolutely amazing!!!
Always keep your eye on the local paper (specifically Thursdays) and of course the Internet. You never know what you will stumble across.
